Carnatic Music is the classical music of South India. MadRasana is a platform to present carnatic music and other indian classical art in an an intimate setting, to bring the artistes, the art form and the listeners closer to each other, to have a better connect. Our format of shows and presentations are usually not the usual ones you will experience. We give a lot of importance to overall production, aesthetics, and above all, the focus will be on the art form. Our focus on audio has won us a lot of praise from the rasikas and the media.

We keep pushing the boundaries and bring in newer ways by which the audience can enjoy the Indian classical music. We are among the first ones in the world to present a full Indian carnatic concert in a full binaural format. We are also the first ones to attempt to bring in live audience in a studio setup, where the artistes performed in the center of the hall the each of the audience given a direct output from the music console, so they can listen to the live performance through their headphones in pristine audio quality. 

We also keep looking at how our listeners consume Indian classical music and produce content to suit their specific needs. We are the first ones to produce a series of Indian carnatic concerts specifically catering to those who listen to them during their workouts. The concert was specifically curated to have song with various speed ranging from slow, medium and fast paced and also all songs with durations that are multiuple of 5 minutes. A total of 7 artistes performed this series with a collecive duration of more than 12 hours. The audience can mix and match these in their own playlist so they can use them during their workouts ranging from 30 mts to one hour to even a full marathon. We call this MadRasana Workout Series. 

Our youtube channel produces content that are unique and focusses on the performance of artistes with very high quality 4K resolution videos recorded in a studio with pristine audio quality. A lot of young artistes are featured as part of this series. We call this MadRasana Unplugged Series.

We also have our yearly music festival during Chennai’s December Music festival. The unique aspect is for the past two years we had this festival for the very first time in a movie theater, to take advantage of the screen ( where we screened few of the MadRasna Unplugged Videos before the concert) and the ambience and acoustics to bring in world class experience to carnatic music listeners like never before. We call this MadRasana Festival.
